Afghanistan

The war in Afghanistan has been ongoing since late 2001 and has by 2013 entered a stage, where the international community is reluctant to continue spending vast amounts of resources and soldiers to fight a war that cannot be brought to conclusion. Farah Province located in the south-western part of the country bordering Iran was one of the places that was slowly being left to fend for itself. By mid-November 2013 all international forces had been pulled out and all that remained was a small UNAMA office with few funds to make any change. The album contains a few pictures from life in Farah with its ancient castles and slow way of life in the autumn of 2013.
